Marathon universe

The Marathon universe refers to the worlds, characters, races, and events that occur within the story that has been depicted within the Marathon trilogy. Something defined as being "within" the Marathon universe will have no direct ties to real world events or entities.

Apart from the three Marathon games (Marathon 1, Marathon 2: Durandal, and Marathon Infinity), there are other sources that may be considered authorities or canon in regards to the Marathon universe (Lost Network Packets). These are discussed in depth below.
