As of February 2008, we're considering whether to merge this wiki into the recently launched Pfhorpedia. A thread discussing the possibility can be found here.
How you can help
This is a short list of things we'd really like to see done. Look to the Community Portal for more detail and discussion.
- Create a more detailed style guide at Traxus:Standards so that future articles can be written in a consistent style and format.
- Decide how and/or whether to set up a category structure separating articles about the Marathon universe, about non-Marathon-canon fictional subjects (for example the starship Kronos), and about the real world (including games, scenarios and levels). (See Talk:Kronos.)
- Ideally, it should be possible to tell from the first sentence of an article which of those categories it's in.
- One rule that's been proposed is to put articles about real-world subjects in Category:History and Category:People, and articles about fictional (Marathon or otherwise) subjects in Category:Story and Category:Characters.
- Write up/decide on exact definitions for basic terms, including "species", "race", "level", "unit", "monster", "object", "item", and "sound".
- Make sure all categories have clear explanations of their intended uses.
- Decide how and/or whether to set up a category structure separating articles about the Marathon universe, about non-Marathon-canon fictional subjects (for example the starship Kronos), and about the real world (including games, scenarios and levels). (See Talk:Kronos.)
- Create more pages on third-party scenarios, including information on how to run earlier scenarios on modern platforms.
- Fill out scenario stubs into detailed articles.
- Write up information on Marathon editing tools.
- Upload logos or icons for the various scenarios that currently have articles.
See also Special:Wantedpages for a list of subjects that have been referenced and not yet written about.
