M1A1 (Marathon 1 Aleph One) is a port of the previously Macintosh-only Marathon to the cross-platform Aleph One engine.
Music
The MP3 music tracks in M1A1 were created by playing the original music tracks on a Macintosh running QuickTime 2.5, and recording the output.[4]
Known issues
- Many of the differences between Marathon and M1A1 are unavoidable consequences of using the Aleph One engine, which is based on Marathon 2's source code rather than Marathon's. For details on these differences, see Engine differences between Marathon and Marathon 2.
